Rice flour apple waffles

makes 6-8 waffles
  • 200g rice flour
  • 1.5 tsp xanthum gum
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 400mls rice milk
  • 6 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 4 tbsp apple purée
  1. Combine the flour, xanthum gum, sugar and salt 20150809_180641
  2. Mix together the milk, oil and apple purée in a separate bowl or jug 20150809_181005
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix together 20150810_173813
  4. Let the batter sit for a few minutes, during which it should rise slightly
  5. Whilst your batter is resting, turn on your waffle maker and wait for it to reach temperature before you start to cook 20150809_184340
  6. Once the waffle maker is ready, add 2-3 tablespoons of the batter and allow it to cook 20150809_18433020150809_184934
  7. Serve with golden syrup, maple syrup or any other topping you can enjoy 20150809_185211
