Apple purée

  • 4 apples
  • 2tbsp water
  1. Peel, core and dice 4 apples 20150623_184754 (1)
  2. Put the apple cubes into a saucepan and add 2tbsp water.  If you are using a cooking apple variety such as Bramley apples, you may want to add a little sugar, but it isn’t necessary
  3. Cook the apples on a medium heat for about 30 minutes, or until the apple is soft
  4. Put the cooked pieces into a blender and blitz to make your purée 20150626_140250
  5. You can use this as an egg-alternative in cake recipes, add to rice pudding or eat on its own
