- 4 apples
- 2tbsp water
- Peel, core and dice 4 apples
- Put the apple cubes into a saucepan and add 2tbsp water. If you are using a cooking apple variety such as Bramley apples, you may want to add a little sugar, but it isn’t necessary
- Cook the apples on a medium heat for about 30 minutes, or until the apple is soft
- Put the cooked pieces into a blender and blitz to make your purée
- You can use this as an egg-alternative in cake recipes, add to rice pudding or eat on its own
