- 250g icing sugar
- 80g free-from spread such as Trex or Pure
- 50mls rice milk
- A few drops of your chosen flavouring
- Beat the spread in a bowl until soft
- Gradually add the icing sugar a spoonful at a time, mixing all the time
- You may find the mixture gets very stiff about half-way through, so add some milk to loosen it a little
- Continue to add the sugar until it’s all mixed in
- Add as much milk as necessary at the end to reach your required consistency
- Finally, add the flavouring a few drops at a time, continually tasting until it’s perfect
