Rice Flour waffles

makes 6-8 waffles
  • 250g rice flour
  • 2 tsp xanthum gum
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 500mls rice milk
  • 5 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 2 tbsp water
  1. Combine the flour, xanthum gum and sugar 20150809_180641
  2. Mix together the milk, oil and water in a separate bowl or jug 20150809_181005
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix together 20150809_181203
  4. Let the batter sit for a few minutes, during which it should rise slightly 20150809_182527
  5. Whilst your batter is resting, turn on your waffle maker and wait for it to reach temperature before you start to cook 20150809_184340
  6. Once the waffle maker is ready, add 2-3 tablespoons of the batter and allow it to cook 20150809_18433020150809_184934
  7. Serve with golden syrup, maple syrup or any other topping you can enjoy 20150809_185211
